The high density of the cartridge makes it possible to remove impurities down to 5 microns and can thus extend the service life of the next filter stage. The cartridge is made of polypropylene fibres. The fibres are resistant to many chemicals and to bacterial growth.

The cartridge consists of pressed activated carbon and filters pollutants out of the water such as chlorine, organic compounds, light hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, oils and flavourings, taste impairments, odour impairments, lead, heavy metals, fine particles (rust, limescale flakes, sand, scale) and suspended solids.
